Privacy policy

Grant Desk is operated by Smith App Studio LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle information in Grant Desk.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, work email, job title and a securely hashed password.
• Your organization's workspace: the organization profile, saved grants, notes, tasks, proposal drafts, budgets, library entries and funder notes your team enters.
• Usage needed to run the service: basic logs (for example, errors and the number of AI requests per day) so we can keep Grant Desk working and fair.

What Grant Desk is not for

Grant Desk is not designed to store patient or client health records. Do not enter names or health details of individual patients or clients in notes, drafts or AI questions. Use community-level numbers instead.

How we use it

• To run your private workspace and show it only to members of your organization.
• To answer your AI requests. The text you send to the AI assistant and writing tools, plus your organization profile, is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. It is not used by us to train AI models.
• To search public funding databases on your behalf. Searches send only your search words — never your private workspace data.
• To provide support when you ask for it.

Who can see your data

Only people who have joined your organization's workspace with your invite code. Each organization's data is kept separate from every other customer's. Our service providers (cloud database and hosting, and the AI provider) process data only to run Grant Desk. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to every page and every data request is checked against your organization membership.

Your choices

Your administrator can remove team members at any time. To export or delete your organization's data, or to close your account, email smithappsupport@gmail.com.

Children

Grant Desk is a workplace tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

We'll post updates here and change the date above. Significant changes will be announced inside Grant Desk.
