How to use Grant Desk
Ten simple steps from first sign-in to submitted proposal.
- 1
Join your team
Go to Sign in → Create account. Then type the invite code your administrator gave you (it starts with GD-).
- 2
Check your organization profile
Open the menu → Organization & team. Your services, the people you serve, your ZIP codes and your funding interests shape every search and every AI answer.
- 3
Search for funding
Tap Search funding. Type what you need money for — like “behavioral health” — and Grant Desk searches federal, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia-area and international sources at once. Use the tabs to focus on one source.
- 4
Save the good ones
Tap “Save to pipeline” on any grant. It lands in your Pipeline under Researching, with its deadline on your calendar.
- 5
Ask if it's a fit
Open a federal grant and tap “Run AI fit check”. You'll get a plain-English verdict: strong, possible or poor fit — and why.
- 6
Plan the work
In the Pipeline, open a grant and add the standard 10-step checklist. Due dates count back from the deadline automatically. Assign tasks to teammates.
- 7
Write the proposal
Tap “Start a proposal”. Work section by section. Use “Write it for me” for a first draft, “Make it stronger” to polish, and “Score it like a reviewer” for tough feedback. Download to Word when you're done.
- 8
Build the budget
Budgets totals itself, adds indirect costs and match, and downloads a spreadsheet for your finance team.
- 9
Never miss a deadline
Deadlines → “Add all to my calendar” puts every deadline into Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar with reminders a week and a day before.
- 10
Install it like an app
On Android or a computer, tap “Install app” at the top. On iPhone or iPad, open Grant Desk in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”.
